James Oxford, Treasurer Mr. Oxford retired as the Director of Infrastructure and Public Works with the City of Mount Pearl after serving the Municipality for 35 years. He spent 30 yrs in Senior Management roles developing operating systems, policies, regulations and by-laws for the delivery of a wide variety of services. Mr. Oxford was appointed to the Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities on August 6, 2009 and started in his official capacity as Commissioner on September 7, 2009 and is currently serving in that capacity. Mr. Oxford has completed trades and business related programs and numerous courses at several institutions including a four year Mechanical Program at the College of Trades & Technology; Business Finance Courses; IT courses at Memorial University; and several others in areas such as Occupational Health & Safety, Small Fleet Management and Emergency Management courses from the Canadian Emergency Preparedness College at Arnprior, Ontario. Mr. Oxford, in addition to his regular occupation, has held a number of financial positions on a volunteer basis with a number of organizations and currently is Treasurer of the CPS-ECP and as of January 1, 2015 has taken on the role as your Treasurer with the RNYC. Mr. Oxford is married and has two daughters, one son and seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
