1) Garbage Collection Options
a) Bulk waste for the landfill
All residents receive at no cost a choice of 45 or 65 or 95 gallon wheeled containers.
Containers are exchangeable once a year for repair or down/up-sizing
i) Limited option: One container per house hold at $16.21/month
ii) Unlimited option: First container at $17.21/month and every additional container
$3/month
b) Recyclables: Commingled paper, plastics, glass, metals as per schedule
All receive at no cost a 95 gallon wheeled container. Containers are exchangeable
once a year for repair
c) Small bulk items: one/week, less than 50 lbs, dismantled and bundled, e.g.,
smallchair
d) Biodegradable food scraps and pet litter
Option: At no cost ~35 gallon wheeled container, one per household, $4.25/month
NO plastic only paper bags accepted within container
Minimum 15% signup in the village for this service to be viable
Pick up is at curb, back door pick up is an extra cost
e) Compost-Yard waste
This is available only April 1 to November 30
i) Limited option: 6 bags (paper NOT plastic) 35G/50lb each, $75/year
ii) Unlimited option: bags (paper NOT plastic) 35G/50lb each $96/year
f) Leaf vacuuming: On Call and $165 per pickup
g) Free pick up of Christmas trees, bundled on curb during first-two full weeks after
Christmas
h) Other: Accepted, at no extra charge, drop-off at recycling center

e) Free topsoil for village roads department coordinated with Cuba Township
f) Free service for Village fests
i) Fall Fest the first Sunday in October
ii) Winter Fest the first Saturday in December
Allocate sufficient and appropriate containers for the special events in coordination with
Village admin.
3) Business related
a) Pick up of all garbage, recyclables, etc. will be performed once a week, on Tuesdays,
between 7 am and 5 pm
b) Garbage pick-up will be done using One-Pass, Dual-Mode trucks
c) Education: In coordination with the Environmental and Health Commission, schedule
information sessions, flyers, public events, etc.
d) Billing of Village residents
i) Sign up sheet one month prior to beginning of contract detailing option plan and
requesting billing information
ii) Each household has an online account option
iii) Payment options online autopay, credit card, checks or, cash at counter
iv) Billing will be quarterly
d) A yearly percentage adjustment in service costs equivalent to the CPI but limited to a
minimum of 2% and a maximum of 5% per year
e) Vendor will have insurance to cover all its employees and no resident is accountable for
any damage incurred on vendor equipment or personnel within resident property
f) Post a performance bond of $50k to the Village which is being included as an upcharge of
$0.10 per resident in item (1a)
