Technical Illustrator
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented Technical Illustrator, who has broad experience
working in a creative design environment, to join an established team in a Times Top 100 Company.
It is essential that the successful candidate has extensive knowledge of design software including
Quark Xpress, Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop and Acrobat.
Reporting to the Principal Technical Author, the Technical Illustrator will provide a comprehensive
graphic design service from initial design to publication, and maintain artwork archiving systems for
Certsure. The role is responsible for overseeing and co-ordinating the design and production process
of Certsure’s publications in a timely manner, and to maintain a schedule of work in progress and
planned.
The role holder will be required to identify and manage any graphic design work undertaken by
external suppliers and monitor progress, agree a schedule of Technical Illustrations, liaising with
originators to ensure deadlines are met, whilst creating and developing diagrams, illustrations, and
to prepare publications for print and/or online publication.
The successful candidate will demonstrate their ability to organise, prioritise and plan their own
workload, with a keen desire to achieve departmental objectives and targets. A good level of
knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
