Flooding Disaster Report 2013
On CRDT’s beneficiaries in Kratie and Stung Treng
Problem Statement
During late September 2013 to early October 2013, a large part of Cambodia’s
northeastern provinces (Stung Treng and Kratie) were almost covered by flood of
Mekong River. CRDT has kept track on its community family members who were
affected by flooded disaster. 64 community based organizations (CBOs), which
consist of 1,302 families and 49 Self Help Group (SHGs) consist of 562 families in
these both provinces, suffered from the flood. Their houses and schools are flooded,
and paddy rice and some main crops were also damaged during that period, and as
of now we could not estimate the cost yet.
