Please ensure you have your own insurance in place for this. A method statement is a simple description of the process by which a work is brought to, installed and removed from a venue. A method statement is often required by host venues to ensure you have carefully thought through both the process and requirements of your installation as well as the potential hazards to yourself and others. If you are in any doubt about the risks involved in your work, please discuss this with the curator responsible for your project, or contact the creative director You also need to confirm that you assessed the risks involved and put in place any necessary insurance for the activities you are undertaking to develop and transport your work to the venues? The Cathedral FIRST AID box is in the Virgers’ office in the South Transept, the first door on the right. FIRE ASSEMBLY In most circumstances the Cathedral’s Fire Assembly point is up the steps beyond the War Memorial at the West Front. If circumstances dictate then Virgers/Guides may provide an alternative location so 10 days participants should always follow their directions. Creative Hub you will be informed of the location of our First Aid box and Fire assembly in Hub prior to installation You need to consider the following activities: Bringing your work, tools and materials to the venue Installing your work and working safely in the venue Ensuring the safety of others during the exhibition and / or performance / workshop / event. Removing materials tools and work safely.
