Imagine Grinnell is an affiliate of Greater Poweshiek SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP 2014 The Imagine Grinnell Service Scholarship is intended to encourage civic engagement by youth, and to recognize high school students for outstanding service to their communities and neighbors. Research indicates that students benefit more from sustained service activities than one-time service projects. In keeping with the foundation’s mission, students who have committed service in following areas: environment, outdoor recreation, biking, and alternative energy are encouraged to apply. Preference may be given to students demonstrating service work in the Grinnell area, although students demonstrating service work addressing the myriad national and international needs beyond Grinnell are certainly encouraged to apply. The amount of Imagine Grinnell Service Scholarship is $500, to be used for college expenses.
