CHARITY FUNDRAISING EVENT

Dear Resident,
As organisers of the Prime Four Beast Race we would like to inform you about this running event
taking place on Saturday 5 September 2015. It consists of a 10km obstacle race that will raise
much-needed funds for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS). We also want to provide you with
contact details as we are very keen to listen to and work with the local community.
All charitable funds raised from the event will go directly to support people in all Scottish
communities who are affected by chest, heart and stroke illness. The event will bring over 800
runners and their supporters to Loch Ness and the surrounding area. We aim to stage a wellorganised, safe, environmentally friendly and fun event for everyone.
Safety and Environment: The event will be covered by specific event health & safety risk
assessments and an Event Safety Plan. Appropriate Public Liability Insurance will be in place and
the event has an Environmental Policy outlining how we will avoid and minimise any detrimental
environmental effects.
Race Route: The majority of the race is run on the grounds of Aldourie Estate, where the start and
finish will be located. The event also takes competitors across a section of Dores beach. All
landowners have consented to the route. If you have not been contacted, the race does not cross
your land.
Event Base and Timings: The event base will be in the grounds of Aldourie Castle. Competitors will
start to arrive from 9:00 onwards. The race starts at 10:30 with the prize giving at 16:00. Event set
up will start on Sunday 30 August, and all event signs and equipment will be taken down by
Sunday 6 September.
Every effort will be made to minimise any disruption or effects on the general public and local
residents. If you do have any concerns, suggestions or questions about any aspect of the event
please do not hesitate to contact us. Any feedback after the event will also be most welcome.
We would be delighted if you or someone you know would be interested in assisting with route
marshalling or could help in some other way. Your valued local help would make a real
difference!
