 States have been able to set up own system.
 Activity in the DOC is down. Yesterday and today.

AL:













Thank you from Mel for the DOC at NAMB.
Have 10 state conventions mitigating.
Crews have shown Jesus, compassion and patience.
Feeding units rolling smoothly.
Struggles with supply chain, ARC, etc.
Heir of calm across the state managing in their communities better
2500 boots on the ground.
State Board of missions launching into other ministries.
Ministry care to pastors and churches and church members as they are struggling.
Requesting church and association partnerships surrounding Alabama.
Encourage other state directors saying thank you and moving into the phase of ministry care.
State is will be covered with untrained volunteers this weekend.
Trained chaplains to go to area schools when needed.
Request from states need to replace own teams operating. Want teams in specific areas to do
assessment and replace the chainsaw teams. Have them work with the IC center there.


Manage and assess as replacements as needed.
Chaplain request being filled on the ground.
Bill Cantrell AR state exec wants to know how many associations affected and how many churches in the
association affected. 17 churches identified as being destroyed. AL is in the process of categorizing
churches with damage. Categories are heavy moderate and light damage. Information about damaged
churches to come from Gary Swafford. AR would also like same information from MS, TN and GA.






Mickey was with Jim Didlake the last couple of days.
Don Gann working with MEMA.

Lambert activating more chainsaw teams.
Moving into long-term recovery

Experiencing flooding.
Limited mud-out teams will be needed.
IL sent chainsaw teams to help.
Watching for waters to go up and more flooding in the next few days.
GA:

Very busy and handling own responses out of their DOC.











Areas are down to cosmetic work clearing trees.
Working in Mountain City area. NC helped there.
Work in Chattanooga, Cleveland areas. Bulldozer work.
Bradley County and Cleveland area ramped up mass feeding.
Problems with local ARC to get the food.
West TN flooding.
Declared 4 counties as disaster areas by FEMA for flooding potential.
Most of flooding farmland, some houses.
Red Cross has set up a few shelters.
Peak Sunday, know more after that day.
Mud out teams requested in a few weeks.
TN:
Eddie Blackmon, ARC liaison with Alabama if someone from NAMB needs to assist with Red Cross
situation.
NC:

Continued operation in Raleigh and Fayetteville and Mountain City.







Monitor flooding Ohio and Mississippi.
Mud out teams in Louisville.
Teams stood down in some areas.
Red Cross feeding standby in Paducah opening in day or so.
6 associations from Owensboro to Mississippi need mud out help.
Mud out requested in a few days.
Teams still helping in AL.





Small feeding unit in the community to shut down on Friday.
Laundry unit doing 20-30 loads a day.
Most operations ending Friday.
Send volunteers through the established centers through Vol. Management.
Will make volunteers available to other states.

Still have teams feeding, at college and one of the churches.
New England:
 Lake Champlain on the rise to flood.
 400 homes that have been affected.
 Water still rising.
 Will try to handle locally.

Changing in AL in DeKalb and Marshall counties.
Need is less and less.



Number of churches flooded, parts of state under 5-7 ft. of water.
West and east bound I-40 out of Memphis is closed.
Mud out teams requested for the future.


Mickey Caison – traveling back to GA today.
Looking ahead to anticipating the flooding in MS. They are still dealing with ongoing problems. EMA is
preparing for response and to finish current assessments.
Anticipate there are 22,000 people sheltering in MS. Will need to develop a plan to assist if requested.
Evacuating geriatric prisoners today in South Mississippi.
Evacuate a number of homes to a church in Natchez.
Flooding crest on the 15th in the southern part of MS.
