In the meantime, students should check their account regularly for the status of their application, including any missing items. Please note that students do NOT need to send first-quarter grades at this point. If we need mid-year grades, we will email the student with instructions on how to self-report them. Students who have not yet applied have one more chance; January 15 is the final deadline to apply! (Students must visit the Common App website to apply.) Students have until March 1 to apply for financial aid, but we encourage them to apply sooner. Students don't have to wait for admission in order to apply for aid. The Aubrey Lee Brooks Scholarships are available to graduating seniors from Alamance, Bertie, Caswell, Durham, Forsyth, Granville, Guilford, Orange, Person, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, Swain, and Warren counties. Each scholarship provides over $11, 000 annually for study at North Carolina State University, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Scholarships can be renewed for up to three additional academic years, and include generous stipends for summer study abroad programs, internships and research grants. This $1,000 scholarship award will be presented to one outstanding HOSA member who plans to further his or her education in Medical Assisting at King College in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Alamance Scholarship To Lenoir-Rhyne University. The Alamance Scholarship will be offered to any eligible high school student in Alamance County, or any Alamance County student attending the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics in Durham, who will enter the freshman class at Lenoir-Rhyne University in the upcoming fall semester. The amount of the scholarship will be $4,000 per year, one half paid at the beginning of each semester, renewable each year for the continuous four year college curriculum. Applications are available in Guidance. Application deadline is April 15, 2015. Wake Forest University Inmar Technology Scholarship. Inmar awards these scholarships to promising first-year students interested in majoring in Computer Science while attending Wake Forest University. This award is worth $10,000 per year and also includes $6,400 for summer work completed at Inmar each of the three summers between one's first year and senior year and up to $5,000 for work study during the academic year. The Inmar Technology Scholarship Application is due by January 1 of the senior year of high school. 46. The Golden LEAF Scholarship application is now available at CFNC.org/goldenleaf. The deadline for applications is Tuesday, March 1, 2016. A total of 215 awards will be offered to first-time recipients to assist with tuition at Participating Institutions for the 2016-17 academic year. The awards are valued at $12,000 ($3,000 per year for up to four years) for high school seniors and community college transfer students from qualifying counties who attend a participating North Carolina campus.
