Event Schedule is as follows:
All times are: EST (Eastern Standard Time)
WEIGH-INS are Friday Night ONLY: 6 PM – 8PM Local Time.
Weigh-ins will be held at Science Hill High School (in the old gym, downstairs)
Additional satellite weigh-in will be held at the following location:
Alcoa – Alcoa High School – 532 Faraday Street, Alcoa, TN 37701 – Brian Gossett (865-414-3458)
Weigh-ins MUST be done in a singlet with a one-pound allowance only.
Wrestlers not making registered weight will bump up to the next weight class. There will be no exceptions.
Saturday schedule:
AM Session: Tots, Bantam & Juniors: 7:30 AM - Skin Check – Wrestle at 8:30 AM
PM Session: Midgets and Middle School: 12:00 PM - Skin Check – Wrestle at approx. 1:00 PM

Include: Name, Ranking (1-5: 1 being Great and 5 being not so), DOB, Weight class, AAU Membership #
Medals: 1st through 4th place finishers in each division.
Registration Cost: $15.00 plus current AAU membership card is required.
Late Registration: $20.00 (for all wrestlers who do not pre-register by midnight, 02/19/2015)
Admission: $ 6.00 Adults and $ 3.00 Students
Coaches Entry: Current AAU membership card & Picture ID required to be on the floor coaching an athlete. NO EXCEPTIONS!
*Note – Please email your complete coaches list to coach.martin.frye@gmail.com by 12:00PM 02/20/2015. This is very important, only the coaches on this list will be
allowed to receive Coach’s Passes. 1 coach per 5 wrestlers not to exceed 8 coaches - NO EXCEPTIONS!

Region 1 State Dual Team Info
Each Region will field 2 dual teams (1 for Elementary and 1 for MS) which will compete on the Sunday after the State
Tournament to help in aiding the selection process for the Team TN National Teams.
***Being on this team does not guarantee National Team selection***
Any wrestle-offs that need to occur will happen at Science Hill, on the evening of 2/21/15, AFTER the Regional
tournament has concluded. We are hoping to start at 5:30 PM, but again will not start before Regionals has ended.
***Please read below for info regarding who qualifies for the dual team and who can challenge***
For the MS dual team: the MS Region Champions will get 1st dibs on claiming their spot for the MS dual team (the only
challenges that can occur are as follows: a 6th grade Jr division Regional Champion can challenge the same weight MS
Regional Champion (example: Jr. 100 Champion can challenge the MS 100 Champion) OR the Runner-Up from the next
lower MS weight class, if they would like to bump up (example: 100 lb. MS Runner-Up can challenge the 105 lb. MS
Champ) – if one of these would like to wrestle-off for the spot on the MS Dual Team they can challenge the MS
Champion at that weight) – again, the only wrestlers that can wrestle-off for a spot will be Region Champions and
Runner-Ups – since we are doing True 2nd, if you don’t place top 2, AND meet the criteria outlined above, you cannot
wrestle-off for a dual team spot.
MS weight classes: 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 220, 250
For the Elementary dual team: For weights 60 and above the highest placing 5th grade Jr. (Champion or possible RunnerUp to a 6th grader) will get 1st dibs on claiming their spot for the Elementary dual team… for weights 50 & 55 the Midget
Regional Champions will get 1st dibs on claiming their spot for the Elementary dual team… for weights 40 & 45 the
Bantam Regional Champions will get 1st dibs on claiming their spot for the Elementary dual team.
For challenges the same criteria as above applies – the only challenges that can occur are as follows: a lower division
Region Champion (example: Midget Champ can challenge a Jr champ) or the Runner-Up from the next lower weight
class in the same division, if they would like to bump up (example: 60 lb. Jr Runner-Up can challenge the 65 lb. Jr Champ)
– if one of these would like to wrestle-off for the spot on the Elementary Dual Team they can challenge the Jr.

The cost is $50 and MUST be paid that evening to secure your spot on the team (this fee will include cost to cover
referees, team shirt and shorts, team entry fees, etc.). If no one challenges the Regional Champ at that weight, they are
welcome to pay their fee and leave
Note: The goal here is to field the best MS and Elementary dual teams possible from our Region in as timely a fashion
as possible – hence why we are limiting who can challenge for spots… Any missing weight classes that are not filled,
and committed to by the end of Saturday evening with the $50 fee, will then be selected by the coaches to ensure we
have full teams to compete.
