PLACEMENT
R/O DVT throughout but only images needed include:
Sag IJV w/ color to show patentcy
Sag Subc V. w/ color to show patentcy
Cephalic V. Diameter Measurements:
Upper Arm

Prox

Mid
3.
Distal
Forearm
1.
Prox
2.
Mid
3.
Distal
Basilic V. Diameter Measurements:
Upper Arm
1.
Prox
2.
Mid
3.
Distal
Forearm

Prox
2.
Mid
3.
Distal
Repeat exam with tourniquet on upper arm if Basilic or Cephalic Vein is < 3 mm.
Reassess Mid & Distal upper arm and Prox, mid, distal forearm. Do both arms unless
otherwise indicated.
