My soon to be wife, Danielle Beddia will be the female leader going. We will stay on Ocoee Adventure Rafting’s (O.A.R.) camp grounds. They have a 32-person bunkhouse that we will be renting. The boys will sleep on separate ends with me and have their own restroom, changing area, and showers as will the girls. We have one big event planned for each day that we will depart each morning for and then a smaller activity on the schedule each day. The 3 big activities are white water rafting, 1-mile zip line course, ropes and obstacle course. We will also go to a state park and hike up a trail on one of the mountains if the schedule goes as planned on one of the days during down time. Each day, we will cook breakfast and make lunches together as a group and all will participate in cooking or cleaning. We will grill out for supper on one of the evenings. The other two evenings, we will eat at the dining hall on the O.A.R. campgrounds. We will have 5 times that we meet as either a large group or in smaller groups with just guys or girls. The trip’s theme the leaders will focus on is “The Impact Their Choices Today Have On Tomorrow.” We love your kids very much and the reason I personally help with YoungLife at MRA is because I was in their exact shoes 9 years ago and I don’t want any of them to make the same mistakes I did because of a lack of awareness. We all have different stories and each life is unique, but the same God that sent His Son for me, did for you and your child as well. We want them to know above all, “Jesus is the Living Water they need daily” (John 4). We are excited about this opportunity. Packing List: Sleeping Bag/Pillow 1 duffel bag person (can carry a small bag in their lap/under their feet on the ride, like an airplane) Towel/Wash Cloth Hygiene Products/Showers WILL be daily 1 small jacket for evenings (in case they get cold easy) 3 pair of shoes (1 for walking/activities, 1 that can get wet rafting, 1 that can be worn in the evenings) Comfortable shorts/t-shirts for each day (5 total) 1 pair of gym shorts/t-shirt to sleep in (guys/girls) Socks/Underwear Swimming suit (for when we go rafting) Bible Electronics and Cell Phones are allowed for the rides to and from, but upon arrival, I will have a lock box to place all of them in. Spending Money for the ride to and from, we will stop two times each way for restroom and snack breaks. Also, if they wish to buy any t-shirts at the places we go. There will be 2 leaders, with phones on them at all times. Also, there will be 2 points-of-contacts back here in Jackson that can be reached.
