Winter 2013-2014 Newsletter of Daryl and Shirley Bonifacius Assisting H.E.L.P. Ministries National Pastors in Church Planting and Bible and Literature Distribution Worldwide We greet each of you from Michigan in the lovely name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Today we watched as some four inches of snow fell and blanketed everything. Who but God could make such a beautiful sight as fresh undisturbed snow. Seeing Lake Michigan totally frozen over is truly a spectacle to behold. A Recent Trip To Kenya Recently, Brother Earl Dorminey and I flew to Kenya, East Africa. We were able to give out many tracts on the long flight to and from Kenya and had several opportunities to witness to numerous people from several different countries. Bible College Graduations We were able to speak at the commencement graduation ceremonies of three different Bible Schools. It was wonderful to experience so many young pastors and students as they proudly received their diplomas with great excitement. Many of the men made a great sacrifice to be able to attend and finish their Bible School training. I felt so honored to be able to be a part of the different commencement ceremonies. Speaking In Different Churches And Fellowship Meetings In was our great privilege to be able to speak in several churches and also three different pastors fellowships while in Kenya. On one particular Sunday, I was able to speak in four different churches. At one service an alcoholic was wonderfully converted. Many Decisions Made The Lord enabled us to daily witness and preach to numbers of different people and congregations. I personally had the joy of leading nine souls to the Saviour with another 20 being saved during various preaching services. It was amazing to experience the warmth we felt among the pastors and local church members. One man, named Moses, that I led to the Lord was later baptized and has since announced his call to preach. He is presently preparing to enroll in Pastor Joseph Wafula’s Bible School. Praise the Lord! A Container In The Port As many of you know, last fall we shipped a 20-foot container which contains 19 tons of Christian material which included over two million tracts, some 275 study Bibles, 288,000 Swahili John and Romans, along with Sunday School material, hymnals, Vacation Bible School material, over 1,000 books and commentaries and other devotional materials for our many African pastors. We have just received word that the container is being released from the port and will shortly be delivered to its final destination where it will be divided among our Kenyan and Ugandan pastors and Bible Schools. The container was held for seven weeks, which was an unfortunate ordeal that we had to endure for the ministry’s sake. A Promise To Help While in Kenya, Brother Dorminey and I promised to help raise the funds to assist Pastor Joseph Wafula to secure the needed lot beside his church facility. He needs to raise ten thousand dollars to purchase the adjoining lot in order to erect a facility to properly train his Bible School students. We need several churches to consider an offering to help with this need. Penny March Commitment Soon many of you will be planning your annual VBS program; would you prayerfully consider allowing your penny march collection to be designated to Pastor Joseph Wafula for the purchase of the lot where his educational Bible School building is to erected? Please let me know if you would like to help with this project. I can be reached at 865-661-8196 or at pacogooway@yahoo.com to answer any questions. A Trophy Of Grace Within the last two weeks I gave witness to an 87 year old gentleman who came to church and was wonderfully saved. What a joy it was to walk the isle with him as he made his profession public. Praise the Lord! Shirley and I are so very grateful to all of you that faithfully support us with your prayers and offerings. With kindest regards, Daryl and Shirley Bonifacius Philippians 2:16 H.E.L.P.
