Hay fever- Ease the sneeze!
Antihistamine nasal spray- can rapidly ease
itching, sneezing and watering within
15minutes.
Antihistamine tablets/liquid- Can ease most
symptoms but may not be so good at
relieving nasal congestion.
Steroid Nasal Spray and drops- Helps by reducing all
inflammation in the nose.
All the above can be purchased over the counter. If your
symptoms are more severe you may wish to visit your GP here
at SMC.

Summers Nearly
Here!
 Sun care- It’s important to
protect you and your
children’s skin in the sun
to avoid sunburn. Use
sunscreen with a sun
protection factor (SPF) of
at least 15. The higher the
SPF the better, the
summer sun is most
damaging to your skin in
the middle of the day.
Spend time in the shade
between 11am and 3pm,
under umbrellas, trees,
canopies or indoors.
 Cover up- Aim to cover up
with a t-shirt, hat and
sunglasses. Remember to
take extra care with
children.
 Keep Hydrated- make
sure you drink plenty of
cold drinks when it is hot,
but avoid drinks
containing caffeine and
alcohol.
