Learning objectives: At the conclusion of this seminar, participants
should be able to:
 Understand the role that Pap smear/histology correlation plays in
quality assurance for gynecologic cytology
 Develop a practical approach to the correlation of Pap smear and
cervical biopsy results.
 Understand the significance of discrepancies between Pap smear
and cervical biopsy results.
 Understand the regulatory requirements that apply to gynecologic
cytology/histology correlation.
Meetings are held in Room 309L at the University of Texas Health
Science Center – San Antonio.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with
the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for
Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint
