DEPARTMENT OF MILITARY AFFAIRS Lincoln’s ChalleNGe Academy CAREER OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT Personal Services Contract POSITION TITLE: ADMINISTRATIVE LOGISTICS ASSISTANT II (Warehouse Supervisor) SALARY: $2809/MONTH WORKSHIFT: Determined by the Administrative Logistics Specialist LOCATION: Rantoul, IL LCA #16-007 AREA OF CONSIDERATION: N/A EXAMPLE OF WORK: Under the general supervision of the Admin/Logistics Assistant II, responsible for the management of all warehouse storage locations assigned to the Logistics Department. Performs logistical related tasks to include requisitioning, issue, turn-in, warehousing, and record maintenance of supplies, equipment, linen, and clothing assigned to the program, staff, and students. Other responsibilities to include, but not limited to, the following: Supervises the day-to-day warehouse operations including task assignment and supervision of cadets, temporary employees, and LCA staff detailed to the warehouse. Identifies additional personnel support requirements based on projected workload. Conducts periodic inventories of administrative supplies, janitorial supplies, linen, and clothing. Researches and resolves inventory discrepancies. Determines stock levels and submits requirements for stock replenishment. Assists in the unloading of supplies and equipment being received. Validates receiving documents and processes items to proper storage locations. Establishes and prepares primary and reserve locations for cadet clothing. Prepares the clothing issue area for initial and final clothing issue and clothing exchange. Issues and exchanges required clothing to cadets. Updates and maintains cadet clothing records. Retrieves all cadet clothing turned in upon completion of class cycle. Ensures items are inspected for serviceability, processed through the laundry, sorted by size and restocked upon return from the laundry. Processes unserviceable clothing for turn-in. Ensures cadets are measured for graduation caps and gowns and that any shortages are requisitioned to ensure receipt prior to graduation. Issues graduation cap and gowns and ensures their return on day of graduation. Schedules and conducts weekly linen exchange. Coordinates with outside laundry contractor for pickup of linen and return of clean linen within established time frames. Performs monthly issue of janitorial supplies/equipment based on submitted requirements. Ensures maximum authorized quantities are not exceeded. Establishes and maintains storage areas for program furniture. Assists in setup of special events with required furniture and equipment. Arranges for pickup and/or delivery of furniture and equipment based on program requirements. (LCA #16-007 continued) Prepares unserviceable or excess property book items for turn in to USPFO or the DMAIL warehouse. Prepares documentation and coordinates with applicable warehouse for approved turn-in dates and times. Transports assets to applicable warehouse. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above. REQUIREMENTS: Requires the knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of high school. Two years military supply experience is desired. A working knowledge of Microsoft Access is desired. KSA’s: Requires general knowledge of basic mathematics, office practices, procedures, programs, and bookkeeping. Requires general knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Requires ability to operate commonly used manual and automated office equipment and perform routine maintenance. Requires ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Requires extensive knowledge of military philosophy, terminology, structure, and correspondence formats. Requires ability to lift heavy, bulky boxes and/or equipment up to 50 pounds. Requires a valid Illinois driver’s license.
