GHOST BIDDER RULES/Information
Thank you for deciding to participate in the Ghost Bidder process at the JLL
Kentucky Derby Soiree! Please review the rules outlined below to be eligible to
have a successful Ghost Bid.
1. Please register via LynchburgTickets.com or through the Junior League of
Lynchburg’s Office. There is a $25 nonrefundable registration fee to be a
Ghost Bidder. If you bid on items and do NOT win any items with the highest
bid, your registration fee cannot be refunded
2. You must fill out the form below and include credit card information . Your
credit card will be charged within 48 hours of the close of auction if you are
the highest bidder on any item you have listed.
a. You will be notified within 24 hours of the amount that will be
charged on your credit card.
3. You will be assigned an anonymous bidder number and a Junior League
Soiree Committee member will be assigned to represent you on all items
listed below. This member will NOT be allowed to bid for themselves on the
item(s) you are bidding on.
4. Your representative will begin bidding with the beginning bid listed or
lowest amount possible.
5. Your representative will bid on your selected items until the close of auction
OR until they reach your MAXIMUM bid amount listed for that particular
item. (Ashley—does this include the extra 15 minutes that VIP ticketholders
get? If so/if not, we need to disclose that here).
6. You must list the MAXIMUM amount you are willing to spend/bid on each
item you have listed. This is the MAXIMUM amount that your representative
will list on the bid sheet.
7. You must list a dollar amount for the bid increase column. This is the value
your representative will increase your bid amount to continue to remain the
highest bidder for your item(s) below.
