Lincombe Camp 2013 Reservation Form ESRC Summer Riding Camp Friday 28th June to Sunday 30th June 2013 To be held at: Lincombe Equestrian Centre, Nr Stourport on Severn, Worcestershire, DY13 9RB This will be the first East Shropshire Riding Club Summer Camp for a number of years, so lets make it a good one! It is to be held at Lincombe Equestrian Centre near Stourport, where there are purpose built facilities. These include a brand new 60 x 60 arena, a 20 x 60 dressage arena with mirrors, a full cross country course with 100+ jumps, a SJ area, stabling for each horse with straw, a secure tack room, secure hay/shavings storage, hot water showers and toilets, full catering facilities with a seating area and sofas. The camp is aimed at those Riding Club members who wish to develop their riding skills, both on the flat and over fences, and who wish to take opportunity of the excellent facilities provided and tuition from instructors who specialise with nervous and novice riders and green horses right up to advanced riders and horses. The camp is two nights and two days with lessons twice a day on flatwork, show jumping and cross country in small groups of 3 riders to an instructor, along with demonstrations and a team competition on the last day. Apart from the excellent educational benefits of the camp, members will enjoy a fun weekend of socialising with likeminded people and sharing new and challenging experiences. “Aims of the Camp” To assist in the development of greater riding skills. To enable riders to take ownership of their skills in order that they may further develop the training of their horses such that performance is enhanced, thus aiding greater enjoyment. The full camp includes accommodation for horse (with straw) and space own camping /caravan /lorry /trailer plots for rider accommodation, tuition, demonstrations and all meals. We just ask for participants to bring a cake each to share in the afternoons with other members over the weekend. Riders will need to bring their own hard feed, hay for horses and shavings if required. There is no turn out at the venue but there is plenty of in hand grazing available, but after 2- 2.5 hours of intense lessons a day experience has shown how well horses settle. Tea and coffee will be available throughout the day. We can take a maximum of 18 horses on this camp and spaces are limited, however if you wish to join us on foot there is no maximum threshold. To secure your place we require a deposit of £50 by Friday 31st May. Places are on a first come first served basis, deposit secures. The full balance will be due by Friday 31st May so that we can pay the final sum of the camp. All cheques made out to East Shropshire Riding Club. Please arrive before 1700hrs on Friday 28th June or be mounted for 1400hrs if you wish to participate on the local hack. Lincombe Camp 2013 Reservation Form If you wish to take a hack on Friday afternoon we will depart at 1400hrs from Lincombe Equestrian Centre and there is a £10 charge for this. Prior to camp everyone will receive a full camp handbook through email with a schedule, local medical information, kit list etc. Camp terms and conditions All riders must be members of the East Shropshire Riding Club, you can join at the same time as applying for camp if you are not already a member. All horses and riders taking part must have at least third party insurance cover. The organisers accept no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury which may be sustained to vehicles, horses, persons, or property whilst attending camp. The organisers reserve the right to alter or cancel any part or the camp programme. All horses are to be current on their vaccinations. All children under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian or to have gained parental consent before applying for camp with the relevant forms completed. Body protectors must be worn for Cross Country and hats are to meet the current standards. Cancellations: If you are unable to attend the camp for whatever reason and we are able to fill your space then a full refund of all monies paid will be given. If the space cannot be filled then a refund will be provided less the deposit of £50. Please can I emphasise that places are on a first come first served basis. With this being the first ever ESRC camp we are expecting it to be quite popular, so the earlier you complete the form the more likely you are in securing a place!
