The competition is public and open to all applicants to the age of 26 2. Participants are divided into categories upon age, type of school, genre or cast 3. All categories are obliged to the time limit and repertoire 4. Soloist categories are required to play by hear Categories: I. soloists – year of birth 2002 and younger II.A soloists – year of birth 1999 and younger – play on the stanard bass II.B soloists – year of birth 1999 and younger – play on the left melodic fingerboard III.A soloists – year of birth 1996 and younger – primary music school pupils III.B soloists – year of birth 1996 and younger – conservatoire students IV. soloists – year of birthe 1995 and older (born latest till 1988) V.A chamber music – duets up to sextets – primary music school pupils (year of birth 1996 and younger), while determining age is the age of the oldest musician, (born latest till 1996) V.B. chamber music - duets up to sextets – conservatoires and music academies students – year of birth 1995 and older, (born latest till 1988) VI.A. entertaining music – soloists up to the age of 26, (born latest till 1988) VI.B. entertaining music – duets up to sextets – players up to the age of 26, (born latest till 1988), determining age is birthdate of the oldest musician Time limits and repertoire: I. category o o o one round competition time limit: 5-8 minutes repertoire: a free option program of various styles forms and time periods II. A and B category o o o one round competition time limit: 8 –12 minutes repertoire: a free option program of various styles, forms and time periods III. A category o o o one round competition time limit: 10 – 15 minút repertoire: a free option program of various styles, forms and time period III. B category o two round competition 1st round: compulsory composition by: Milan Novák: Pri vatre, and one composition from the time period before the 1800 year 2nd round: time limit: 15 – 20 minutes repertoire: a free option program of various styles, forms and time periods, there is a condition to include one composition from the native country of the participant IV. category o two round competition 1 st round: compulsory composition by: Peter Zagar: Mata Hari, and an original at least three-piece composition (suite, sonata, sonatine and the likes, no variations) at a free option 2nd round: - time limit 20 – 30 minutes repertoire: at least three-voices fugue from the time period before the 1800 year and free option program of various styles, forms and time periods including also one composition from the native country of the participant V. A category o o o o one round competition time limit: up to 15 minutes repertoire: a free option program of various styles, forms and time periods there is a free selection of instruments playing in this category with at least one accordion included. V. B category o o o o one round competition time limit: up to 20 minutes repertoire: a free option program of various styles, forms and time periods there is a free selection of instruments playing in this category with at least one accordion included. VI. A category o o o one round competition time limit: up to 20 minutes repertoire: a free option program ( musette, tango, jazz, etc.) VI. B category o o o o one round competition time limit: up to 20 minutes a free option program as in the VI. A category there is a free selection of instruments playing in this category with at least one accordion included. Organization: 1. Properly completed application form has to be sent by post, fax or e-mail, latest by June 20th, 2014. 2. Besides the filled out application form, it is necessary to attach a birth certificate copy or identification card copy. 3. Upon application form registration and placement the competitors to certain categories, the organizer will send detailed information to all participants, latest by October 10th, 2014. 5. Board, accommodation and travel expences are paid by the participants themselves or by organizations they represent. The organizer is able to arrange board and accommodation for participants at a special price in hotel upon the your request and order. Board and accommodation fees will be paid at the registration of participants. 6. The compulsory music pieces for the III.B and IV. categories will be sent by post or e-mail upon your request.
