SECTION 2: Checklist of attachments to complete your application:
1. Complete Registration Form
2. Curriculum vitae of the individual performer, conductor, or individual members of a
chamber group
3. 10 to 15 minute recording of the applicant/s (in any repertoire) submitted on a CD or
online (mp3 and wav accepted)
4. Letter of recommendation: Please ask your applied music teacher to e-mail it directly to
lamc@indiana.edu
5. For each work in the program, at least half of the ensemble must be comprised of
students from the Jacobs School of Music
6. List of the pieces to be played in the final round of the competition (15 to 20 minute
selection of Latin American Repertoire that will be part of your CD proposal).
7. Copies of the scores for each piece being performed in the competition.
8. Addendum form for Proposed Repertoire for the CD (50-60 minutes) and Collaborative
performers’ information (PDF provided with application package)
9. A written paragraph providing an overview of the proposed CD repertoire and explaining
why it deserves to be recorded (250-500) words as a Microsoft word file.
SECTION 3:

Cession of rights:
By participating in the competition, the candidates and their collaborating performers cede to the
Latin American Music Center the right to record, reproduce, and arrange for the reproduction of
their performances in the competition and at
the concerts on record, CD, SACD, sound track, audio cassette, video cassette, video disc, or
CD-ROM/CDI, DVD, minidisc, or any other existing or future medium, as well as the right to
broadcast their performances by any televised or radio broadcast means, including the Internet,
cable networks, terrestrial or other broadcasting, live or pre-recorded, in the United States or
abroad. This cession of rights applies to performances during the competition and as well as the
product of the prize winner’s recording.
