Biography D. Kim Johnson Alumni Board of Directors Campbell University D. Kim Johnson is currently an Executive Vice President of Branch Banking & Trust Company in Wilson, NC. He is a two time Campbell University grad receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration concentrating in Trust Education on 1975, and received a Master of Business Administration focusing in Management on 1980. Johnson was an Honor Graduate in the National Graduate Trust School for the American Bar Association at Northwestern University. He also attended The Bank Executive Program at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Johnson presently serves as Chairman of the Lundy- Fetterman School of Business- Business Advisory Council. He holds a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation, an Investment Advisor-Series 65 license and a North Carolina Real Estate Broker’s license. Johnson is a veteran of 37 years’ experience in BB&T’s Wealth Division. A community volunteer, Johnson has served numerous civic and professional organizations as president, vice president or member of the board. Some of these organizations include the United Way, the American Red Cross, the Boy Scouts of America, the Kiwanis Club, North Carolina Bankers Association and the North Carolina Bar Association. He has also authored several articles for various estate and trust publications. He is a past president of the Campbell University National Alumni Association Board of Directors and currently serves as a member of the board; a member of the School of Business Dean’s Advisory Council and has served as chairman of Campbell’s Trust Education Foundation among other responsibilities. Johnson is a member of the First Baptist Church of Wilson where he is active on the Board of Deacons and the Finance Committee. He is married to the former Karen Oliver. They are the parents of two sons, Mark, 30, and Robert, 26. During his free time, Johnson likes sports, outdoor activities, traveling, cooking, and spending time with his family.
