JEFFERSON COUNTY FFA ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP The purpose of this scholarship is to reward hardworking students who plan on studying an agriculture-related field of study at the community college or university level. The scholarship also rewards students who have had a commitment to helping the community and bettering their local FFA chapter. The winners of these scholarships should be well-rounded students prepared to fill a variety of agricultural careers. The emphasis will be given to three or four year FFA members who have participated in FFA and agriculture –related activities. Students who are not pursing an agriculture-related career, but have been active in FFA will be given the opportunity to be awarded a scholarship for a smaller amount of money. For: Seniors graduating the current spring semester from Mt. Vernon or Waltonville High School and planning to major in agriculture at the community college or university level, or other related college fields. Amount: Five $400.00 scholarships will be awarded. Deadline: April 2, 2013 to Mr. Kabat, Ms. Rogier, or Mr. Newbury Late applications will not be accepted!
