Community Life
Community Life When writing my report for the past year it felt good to mention our biggest project which was sending toys to Eva’s House. Thank you all again and we will find something useful for the coming year. Many Syrian refugee families are coming to the Tri Cities area. I hope over the next few months to figure out what we can do to help in some small way. Certainly if any become part of our own parish community that they will be welcomed by us. Remember “I was a stranger and you welcomed me”
CCODP Still collecting stamps for CCODP & will send after Christmas. An interesting challenge for us called 4 Steps for the planet in support of The Paris 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference,
(COP21) which is taking place next week.
How to participate?
1. Grab your camera, tablet, or smartphone. 2. Film a short video of your feet – viewed from above – walking four steps (a few seconds long). You can be creative with your feet.
3. Upload it to this site: http://www.fourstepsforplanet.org/ 4. Share it with your friends on Facebook and Twitter, and invite them to join the movement! 5. Tweet our Environment minister, Foreign Affairs minister and others who are part of the COP21 climate negotiations. Let them know why you are taking 4 steps for the planet!
You can google 4 Steps for the planet and get more detailed information.
