Thank you to everyone who exhibited, worked and volunteered at the Fall Open All Breed Show. The weather was a bit
“ify” in the morning, but the sun came out later. We are fortunate to host our shows at a facility with a covered arena.
Our shows are held rain or shine. Once again we had a beautiful turn out of many breeds competing together. ISHA will
continue to provide shows that are fun and economical with paybacks and lots of door prizes. Your horses love that!
Don’t be surprised if they are asking to compete next year.
Michelle Hibler with her Friesian stallion Gabriel, won the Supreme Halter Championship trophy sponsored by Dave &
Karen Pogue.
The Youth (13 and under) Hunter/Saddle Type Showmanship trophy sponsored by Country Depot Feeds, was won by
Kati Brunn and her Morgan HDF Omega. The Youth (14-18 years) Hunter/Saddle Type Showmanship trophy sponsored
by Richards Elevator-The Feed Store, was won by Allison Thompson and her Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse, Code
Blue’s Lil Shamrock.
The Mary Wissman Weeks Award, for best horse and exhibitor partnership, co-operation and connection, was won by
Logan Lewellyn and her Arabian/Quarter Horse, Drop Dead Diva.
Thanks to all the participants of the First Annual 4-H Individual and 4-H Club High Point program who made it a huge
success. We enjoyed your enthusiasm and hard work. Special thanks to the 4-H Ambassadors who volunteered at the
shows: Bella Penrose at the Spring show and Katy McFarland and Kena Haun at the Fall show. A special thank you to
their advisor Melissa Voigt who has worked with ISHA to promote the High Point program. It is ISHA’s pleasure to serve
the Indiana 4-H Horse and Pony Program. We welcome your suggestions and comments to improve next year’s
competition.
The 2014 High Point winners are:
13 and Under Individual High Point winner: Logan Lewellyn with her horse Drop Dead Diva.
14-18 Year Individual High Point winner: Megan Manning with her horse First Times A Charm.
High Point 4-H Club winner: Marion County Indy Riders.
Awards will be presented at the Year End Banquet. Invitations will be sent when the date and location is confirmed. We
hope to see all of you there.
