Douglas County 4-H Family Newsletter UW-Extension, Courthouse, Superior, WI 54880 Phone 715-395-1363 NOVEMBER 2012 Dear 4-H Families/Friends: Congratulations to all Douglas County Youth Leaders and volunteers who were recognized at Achievement Night on October 14th! It was a great night as we honored members of our 4-H family and also had the opportunity to hear from youth and families who experienced international 4-H this past summer. Thank you to everyone who attended and gave of themselves this past 4-H year! Douglas County 4-H is facing several challenges in 2013. I want to encourage everyone to approach these challenges looking from a positive perspective rather than the negative. All that positive energy could easily solve any issues we might have. I hope that participating in 4-H will continue to build confidence in our members, leaders, programs and our communities. More than ever in these uncertain times, 4-H continues to engage youth, serve their communities, and provides opportunities for leadership development. If you have ideas or suggestions of how we can expand or improve our programs, I encourage you to contact me to talk about it. Thank you and have a great month!
