Associate in Arts in Psychology for Transfer (2011) Psychology is the study of behavior and mental processes, growth and well-being of individuals, and an understanding of oneself and one's interaction with others. The curriculum provides both scientific and methodological knowledge, as well as the application of these principles to practical and daily living experiences. The program offers courses that examine the diverse nature of our pluralistic society and an appreciation of the multicultural world. Entry-level careers in psychology include business, mental health/social services and community relations. Professional careers in psychology require training beyond the Associate degree.
