Book Fair Highlights - Your Book Fair Newspaper featuring only some of the many, many books we
will have at the Book Fair will come home with your child on Friday, Oct. 23. Take time to look at the
newspaper and read the descriptions and talk about what books are right for your student.
Extras - We will also have many extras such as adult gift books, adult book club books, and cook
books, teacher books, preschool books, and lots more! Students will have an opportunity to fill out a
Student Wish List while visiting the fair on Friday, October 30. Ask your child for their wish list. This is
a great place to start your holiday shopping!
Holiday Party Purchase - Many classes will be having a holiday party in which students exchange
books or bring books to donate. The Book Fair is a great place to make these purchases. I will have a
list of what each class will be requesting for holiday parties available for you at the fair to make buying
much easier!
Thank You for supporting the library through your purchases. The library receives 25% of all sales.
This is your opportunity to contribute to Kiker's library. Please remember to add 8.25% sales tax.
Please make checks payable to Kiker Elem. VISA/MC/AmEx/Disc are accepted!
Please Support Our
Book Fair Teacher Wish List Program
This year when you come to our Scholastic Book Fair to look over the wonderful selection of
books, you can also give your child’s class a special gift - the gift of a book.
Classroom teachers have selected books they would love to have to create a richer learning
experience for your child. Since your gift will become a permanent part of the classroom library,
each donation will also help to enrich the education of children for years to come. As a token of
appreciation, every gift will be recognized with a bookplate identifying your family or child as the
benefactor. Wish Box Books may be presented to the teacher during the fair or any time during
the year. These books make great holiday or birthday gifts!
Please look for the Teacher Wish List display at our Scholastic Book Fair or ask a Book Fair
volunteer for assistance. It is your generosity that has and will continue to make our school such
a great place to learn. Whether or not you choose to participate in this program, we hope you will
find the time to visit our Book Fair.
