As a fellow bedside nurse,I understand the workloads, off-shifts, mandation, vacation and holiday scheduling, etc. that affect all our lives. I want to represent you. Nurses are professionals in every sense to the work. I am and have been involved in many various nursing organizations throughout my career. I am knowledgeable on how the process works. I believe it’s important to be involved in OSUNO, our professional organization. Every nurse should be knowledgeable on issues affecting nursing practice at OSU Hospitals. I am honored and pleased to serve my fellow nurses in our organization. I thank you in advance for your time and consideration. Janet E. Timmons, RN, Endoscopy Hello Fellow OSUNO Nurses, I’ll keep this short and sweet, thank you for allowing me to represent you was a member of the Board of Directors for the OSUNO over the last several years. I’ve been a Nurse for close to 35 years, but more importantly I owned and operated several different Nursing Businesses for over 20 of those years. What does that mean to you in this election as I respectfully ask for YOUR VOTE for 1st VICE PRESIDENT? It means I am a negotiator with a great deal of business acumen, I successfully dealt with hospital administrators, attorneys, business people and nurses throughout my 20 Plus years as a Nurse Business Owner. Healthcare is changing and we need to treat this like a business, create our own future and protect our investment in the OSUNO. We have to face the harsh reality that medical centers are being bought and sold every day in the name of the BOTTOM LINE. We must protect ourselves and ask, what can we the OSUNO and ONA do if our hospital was to be privatized. I want to help lead us into the next chapter of Nursing as your 1st VICE PRESIDENT. As the 1st VICE President and part of the Executive Board I will be guaranteed a spot on the NEGOTIATING TEAM of the OSUNO, a team I’ve never been asked to join despite my vast business background. Let me represent you and protect OUR investment in the OSUNO in the future.
