Ducab celebrates the “Flag Day”
Dubai, UAE; November 3, 2015: Ducab, the UAE-based leading manufacturer of high-quality cables and
cabling products, hosted a special ceremony to celebrate the “Flag Day” on Tuesday, 3rd November, in
line with the initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice
President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to honor the national flag of the UAE
Ducab’s ceremony was attended by a number of members of Ducab’s management including Khaled
Nasser Lootah, Board Member of Ducab, Hassan Omar, Chief Operating Officer, Mona Mohammad
Fekri, General Manager, Human Resources, and many other department heads and employees.
“At Ducab, we pursue a course of strengthening our national identity, and set the foundations of loyalty
to our nation and leaders following the Emiratisation strategy adopted by our government. Our flag is
the source of our pride and is treasured in our hearts. We are delighted to celebrate the Flag Day as
hoisting the national flag signifies strong loyalty to our beloved homeland and rulers as well as our

The Flag Day coincides with the anniversary of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan's
accession as President of the UAE on November 3rd.

Ducab has supplied electrical cables to a number of landmark projects in the UAE, including the Burj Khalifa, Dubai

for 2013, Ducab is a regional leader in the design, development, manufacture and marketing of copper and

Earlier in 2014, in a joint venture with Senaat, Ducab announced the formation of Ducab Aluminium, a 50,000tpa
aluminum rod mill. When complete, the new plant will manufacture Electrical Conductive (EC) grade aluminum
alloy rods, wires, and bare overhead conductors. Environment-friendly processes will be employed within the mill,
and liquid aluminum will be supplied from the EMAL smelter in Taweelah, Abu Dhabi.
