Typical referrals are made because of mental health, domestic violence, behavioral, and other family or individual concerns. Counseling services are provided in the community (e.g. schools, homes) or in the clinic. Services offered through Family Services include: Individualized Assessment/Evaluation Individualized Treatment Planning Family Counseling Individual and Group Therapy Trauma Counseling EMDR Parenting Education Art and Play Therapy Case Management to assist in coordination of services In-home, community based, school, and office visits as appropriate ADOLESCENT OUTPATIENT SERVICES Outpatient counseling services are designed to address the individual developmental needs of substance abusing, mentally ill and high risk Native American adolescents and their families. The overall goal is to empower and support the individual in their learning and self-development along with acquiring the necessary skills and confidence to remain substance free in support of present and future needs. This service is built on the premise that Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Adolescent Community Reinforcement (ACRA) help the adolescent create opportunities to achieve age-appropriate objectives as he/she moves through various levels of decision-making in support of recovery. Services offered through the Adolescent Outpatient Program include: Assessment/Evaluation 1 Treatment plans and reviews individualized with client and family Family Counseling Individual Therapy Aggression Replacement/Stress Management/Conflict Resolution Vocational Counseling utilizing community resources Case Management supporting coordination of service Drug Screening as needed ADULT OUTPATIENT SERVICES The outpatient services offered provide individual, group, and family counseling for Native Americans seeking chemical dependency treatment in a caring and supportive atmosphere. Recognizing that addiction is a family illness that is treatable, Circle of Life Behavioral Health Network strives to work with the individual and his/her system of significant others to develop a program of healthy recovery utilizing a holistic approach in addition to using Motivational Interviewing and Community Reinforcement Approach as best practices. Services include: Evaluation/Assessment Individualized Treatment Planning and review Individual, Group and Family Counseling Drug and Alcohol Education and Relapse Prevention Anger Management Prevention and Skill-Building Self-Help Meetings (Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous) Urinalysis drug screens when indicated Case Management to assist with coordination of services Our outpatient treatment programs are designed for clients who do not require a more structured environment to maintain sobriety, who are motivated to explore the possibility of chemical dependency, who have issues that pertain to mental health and substance abuse, and who may be mandated to enter treatment due to legal problems. Client progress is assessed regularly by clinical staff to help determine the length of the program for each participant. ADOLESCENT INPATIENT SERVICES Butterfly Healing Center, located in Taos Pueblo, provides residential, mental health, and substance abuse counseling for Native American adolescents and their families. All services provided utilize evidence-based, best practices and Native cultural traditions. Butterfly Healing Center assists clients in returning to their communities better able to attain wellness and recovery much like a butterfly serves to sustain life in nature.
