Step 1: Express one continuous bead of gel approximately halfway up the facial side of the tray from
molar to molar. This should use about 1/2 to 1/3 of a syringe per tray. using a maximum of one-half (1/2)
to one-third (1/3) of a syringe.
Step 2: Use a soft toothbrush and brush teeth as normal to remove any debris left on your teeth.
Step 3: Insert the tray in your mouth and lightly tap it to adapt the sides to your teeth. Any excess gel
that overflows from the tray onto the gums should be removed with a cotton ball, tissue, soft toothbrush, or
clean finger. This is important because prolonged exposure to the gums can cause significant irritation.
Wear time depends on which concentration of Whitening gel you use:
10% gel: 8–10 hours or overnight
15% gel: 4–6 hours
20% gel: 2–4 hour
35% gel: 30 minute
This process can be repeated every day for the duration of the treatment, but for sensitive teeth we
recommend at least every-other day to give your teeth and gums time to recover. We do not recommend
overnight wear for the first few treatments to be sure your teeth do not become too sensitive.
Step 4: Remove the tray after an adequate amount of time given your specific concentration. After
removing the trays, you may want to quickly brush your teeth to remove excess gel. Then rinse the trays in
cool water (note that hot water can warp or distort certain types of bleaching trays) and store them in a cool
place out of the sun.
