2015 Annual Usage Numbers

The AEEC is required to report annually to the University Council, the report must include
statistical data relative to all experimental animal use. In accordance with its license conditions
the AEEC must also report to all State and Territory Governments annually.
Please provide details on species, animal numbers and the States and Territories where work
was conducted to the AEEC for 2015.
Please complete the table below and return it electronically to animal.ethics@anu.edu.au by
January 31 2016. It is a condition of ethics approval that animal numbers are provided; failure to
do so may result in the suspension of protocols.
If you have already provided this information as part of an expiry report in 2015 then please
disregard this notice. This report is separate to the annual review which is based on your protocol
commencement date. If you did not use any animals under your approved protocol in 2015 please
note this on the form and return it.
Please note that you are required to provide the number of animals observed in wildlife studies.
Please state ‘observation only’ in the additional comments section if this was the classification of
your protocol.
