Patient Survey 2014 – Action Plan
Once the patient survey results had been collated and summarised they were given out to all members of staff
and all members of the PPG, inviting comments. The PPG discussed the results at their meeting on 17th
November 2014 and agreed for a few members of the group to meet up with the Practice Manager to discuss
possible action points.
Carol Wilson (PM) met with Ian Thompson and Andrea Rivlin (PPG members) to discuss.

Better adverts re flu
days
A suggestion was made to use other communication methods such as
emails / texts. E-mailing could be difficult as there is not currently a
way of sending these in bulk via the system, but a texting option should
be available. Also as soon as we know the dates we can add them to
the bottom of annual recall letters.

Being informed of test
results, even if
everything is ok
Due to the volume of test results received each day, this would not be
possible to do as separate phone calls, however there is part of the
SystmOnline service that can allow patients to view test results, so it
was agreed to switch this function on and notify patients that they can
look there.

Children Toys – some
asked for more and
some wanted less as
they were a risk of
infection.
After discussion with the practice staff and PPG it was agreed that it
was important to keep some toys available to keep the children
occupied, however we would keep it to a small number of easily
cleanable toys, so that these can be cleaned with anti-bacterial
cleaners daily. Poster to be put up in the waiting area to inform
patients of this
