Presenters: Dr. Chantal Rothschild, DVM and Dr. Steve
Latimer, DVM
Understand the reasons behind common lameness
issues in horses and ways to either prevent their
occurrence or minimize their impact by recognizing and
treating early signs of discomfort.
Dr. Chantal Rothschild, DVM is board certified by the
American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine
(ACVIM). She pursued her advanced training at
Washington State University Veterinary Teaching
Hospital in Pullman, after which she joined Northwest
Equine Veterinary Associates. Dr. Rothschild has
instructed at several internationally renowned equine
clinics.
Dr. Steve Latimer graduated from Washington State
University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and cofounded Northwest Equine Veterinary Associates. He is
an expert in advance lameness evaluations, tendon
ultrasonography and radiographic evaluation of bones
and joints and consults on pre-purchase evaluations of
high level performance horses.
