Location: 1310 Esplanade Chico, CA Phone: 891-0885 Wings of Eagles Financial assistance is provided to families who have a seriously ill child with a life threatening illness. There is a preference for families who have a child with cancer. Assist up to 5 CSUC students a year, who have been diagnosed with cancer. Students must be 25 years of age or younger. Phone: 893-9231 Oroville Rescue Mission Food box distribution Monday-Wednesday 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. The requirements for those wanting to receive food boxes include the following: proof of residence, proof of income, and Medi-Cal cards, birth certificates or picture ID for each family member. Shelter can also be provided which includes food, showers, and beds, if there is space available and if qualifications are met. There are no in and out privileges, and no smoking or drugs allowed in the shelter.
