Dear Families,
Welcome back to school. I hope that you all had a good Christmas and new year. Welcome to Mrs
Foy who is a new teaching assistant in Year 1.
Weather
Currently the grass is too saturated for the children to go on to but hopefully it will dry out a little
and the children will be able to go on it again. Please can you provide them with a pair of wellies if
they wish to go on the grassed area at lunchtimes.
Lost Property
The lost property box seems to be over flowing all the time. We do put the clothes out regularly for
parents to claim but I am still surprised to see how many things are not claimed. It is really
important that all clothes are labelled to ensure that they can be returned to their owners. Please
can I remind you to name all of your children’s clothes. Please also claim anything from the box as we
will need to clear it out at the end of the week.
Applying for a school place
Please can I remind you that you should have applied on-line for a junior school place by 15th January.
This is also the date for Reception classes for September 2016, if you have a younger child or know
anyone with a child of this age please can you check they have applied for a place.

The dates for this term are included at the end of the letter. They are also on the website. We do
occasionally have to change these later in the term but any changes will be notified.
