HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE
(HHW) COLLECTION PROGRAM
A community service provided by the City of Coronado
Saturdays 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
(see Holiday Schedule)
101 B Ave. (Public Services Facility)
This program is available to Coronado residents only.
No
business or contractor generated waste is permitted.
Put toxic waste in its place!
Household products containing toxic chemicals become hazardous waste when you
decide to dispose of them. Never throw hazardous products in the trash, as the toxic
chemicals may harm the environment and sanitation workers, and start fires in trash
trucks. Never pour hazardous products into a sink or storm drain; it is dangerous
and they will end up in our environment polluting the air, water and soil. The City of
Coronado's HHW program is available so that all residents in the community can
safely dispose of their toxic, hazardous waste.
How to transport
Leave all products in their original containers. Do not consolidate them. Make sure
containers are properly sealed and not leaking. Put the containers in the trunk or
back of your vehicle, away from passengers. Do not transport more than 15 gallons
of liquid or 125 lbs. of solids at one time.
