California State University Fullerton Student Alumni Ambassadors promote Titan Pride by coordinating events for prospective and current students, alumni, and community. The purpose of the Student Alumni Ambassadors is to promote, foster, and create mutually beneficial relationships among the University’s students, alumni, staff, faculty, prospective students and the campus community for the betterment of Cal State Fullerton while working hand- in- hand with the Cal State Fullerton Association’s Board of Directors and Alumni Relations staff. Structure: Student Alumni Volunteer Position Description There are five Executive Committee (Exec Committee) positions and 10-15 Ambassadors. The Exec Committee helps with the planning and visioning for the group. The Ambassadors contribute to that plan and help with implementation. All members of the team will have unique opportunities to engage with alumni and develop skills that will benefit them in the future. President: responsible for the coordination of SAA efforts and serves as the primary representative of the group to various entities on campus; also responsible for educating new members Vice President/ Treasurer: responsible for tracking the SAA budget and developing philanthropic opportunities and support President as needed Membership & Marketing Chair: responsible for coordinating the marketing efforts of the group, mobilizing SAA to market Alumni Association initiatives and coordinating the recruitment process for new SAA members Social/Events Chair: responsible for coordinating Ambassador involvement in oncampus events and for implementing SAA-initiated programs Student Outreach Chair: responsible for developing and maintaining a relationship with the Alumni Association Chapters and Clubs; also responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with on-campus student organizations Ambassadors: help to market and volunteer at SAA, Alumni Association, and University events; represent the Alumni Association to the student body; develop new programmatic ideas for SAA to implement All members of SAA will: Key Responsibilities: Positively represent the alumni association to the student body. Plan, implement, promote, and support events that facilitate engagement between alumni and the campus community. Serve as a primary marketing vehicle to students on behalf of the alumni association which may include distribution of materials, classroom presentations and tabling 1 of 2 Rewards: Develop leadership skills that will help you to market yourself in a professional setting Add value to the student body experience by building relationships between current students and alumni Establish and maintain campus traditions to unite the student body and alumni Work in partnership with the Alumni Relations staff and members of the CSUF Alumni Association Board of Directors Length of Appointment: One year – July 1 through June 30 Time Commitment: Exec Team: Weekly team meetings & SAA meetings; events as schedule throughout the academic year Ambassadors: Weekly SAA meetings; events as scheduled throughout the academic year All members of SAA are expected to participate in: Homecoming (Pep Rally, Vision and Visionaries, Pre-Game Festival); Senior BBQ; Night of the Pachyderm; GradFest Qualifications: 3.0 G.P.A. (Exec Team) 2.5 G.P.A.
