TCC Non-Resident Tuition Waiver Application
The TCC Non-Resident Tuition Waiver is a waiver of the non-resident portion of tuition for up to twelve (12) credit hours and a minimum of three (3) hours
for the Fall or Spring semester. Students who meet the criteria indicated below may apply for the Non-Resident Tuition Waiver. Priority deadline for
applications received at any Tulsa Community College Financial Aid Office is July 1 for the Fall semester. Spring semester awards will be reserved for firsttime TCC students, with a November 1 priority deadline. Applicants will be awarded as funds are available. Should the number of qualified applicants
exceed the number of waivers available, completed applications will be considered in the order received. If you have an extraordinary talent or have
exhibited so in academic performance, please attach documentation. (For example: An award or recommendation letter citing exemplary musical talent or
scholastic performance).

____I am a degree seeking student at Tulsa Community College and have provided all requested academic credentials.
____I have completed a Petition for Resident Tuition Classification to Enrollment Services and provided all requested documentation.
Updated petitions are required for each award year.
____I meet the required academic criteria as appropriate for the following categories:
un-weighted GPA of 2.5 for First Time Freshman who are high school graduates
retention GPA of 2.5 for transfer students
GED composite score of the 75th percentile or higher
____I have completed a 2015-2016 FAFSA if eligible, or provided recent tax documents.
____I meet the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education criteria for Non-Resident waiver of tuition as available in detail at
www.okhighered.org .
____I have a Hardship and/or Special Circumstance. Attach documentation.
Applicants who have not attempted college credit will be evaluated on their high school GPA, ACT scores, or GED scores. Applicants are required to submit
official transcripts and/or test scores to any TCC Admissions/Enrollment Services Office. Failure to provide this information will result in a denial. Applicant
may submit official transcripts and/or scores with the tuition waiver application; however, this will not satisfy admission requirement.

Eligibility
Applicants and Recipients of the Non-Resident Tuition Waiver must maintain a retention GPA of 2.5 A 67% completion rate is required using attempted
hours at TCC, and previously attended colleges. Awards will also be denied due to excessive withdrawals, failure to maintain satisfactory academic
progress, or for having more than 95 attempted hours. Recipients must be degree-seeking and must have completed a Petition for Resident Classification.

Notification, Awarding, and Re-Evaluation: Recipients will receive an award notice via TED to verify approval of the Non-Resident Tuition Waiver. This
tuition waiver does NOT include student fees. A recipient of another tuition waiver is not eligible for more than one waiver. Students who were denied may
request their applications be re-evaluated if they believe the denial was erroneous or if academic circumstances have changed prior to the start of the
term. Requests for re-evaluation must be made to any TCC Financial Aid office; requests must be made in a timely manner. Requests may be denied for
lack of funding.

university on more than a half-time basis (6 hours or less), and can “establish proof of residence” (3.17.3C).
