Claar recently published “There is No Such Thing as ‘The Poor’”, a commentary on the work of Angus Deaton, the winner of the 2015 Nobel prize in economics. Edward Akoto presents papers AIB US Southeast conference in Savannah, Georgia (Nov. 12-14). He Serves as Track Co-Chair: Organization and Human Resources of the MNE/International OB and also presents two papers. Regional Trade Blocs and FDI Attraction: The Case of Africa Perception of Inflation on Commitment and Citizenship: Comparing U.S. and Ghana Samples Eunice Akoto presents a paper and participates in a paper development session at 2015 AIB US Southeast Annual Conference. Title of the paper presented is Gender Wage Discrimination and Employment Participation- Implication for Economic Growth and Development ALUMNI The School of Business is planning a significant opportunity for all Business Students on November 13. Concurrent sessions are scheduled at 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. when students have the opportunity to hear from speakers on a variety of topics. The School of Business conducted research this year seeking opinions/feedback from students enrolled in Business Courses during 2014. As incentives to complete the questionnaire, student’s names were entered into a drawing for gift certificates to the HSU Bookstore. At a regular meeting members of Alpha Kappa Psi, co-ed professional business fraternity, witnessed awarding $25 gift certificates to twenty-five individuals who responded to the survey. Alpha Kappa Psi, our interdisciplinary student Professional Business Fraternity, once again demonstrates their commitment to improving and enhancing the place where they study, work, and socialize. They take great pride in helping to beautify the HSU campus and recently completed a Landscaping project around the “Mooney Hall Courtyard”. Fifteen Business School Students attended the fall 2015 Distinguished Alumni Banquet as guests of twelve Business Faculty and the Deans office. They supported the recognition of Mr. Johnny Hudson as a Distinguished Alumni. Hudson is a graduate of the School of Business majoring in accounting. He is cofounder and long term partner of Hudson, Cisne Accounting Firm in Little Rock.
