Student makes several pronunciation errors or speaks too fast or does not use appropriate inflexion/emphasis for more than ½ of the presentation. Student makes numerous pronunciation errors (more than 10) or speaks at an inappropriate pace or does not use appropriate inflexion/emphasis for the entire presentation Pronunciation, pace, and inflexion/emphasis problems make the presentation almost incomprehensible, even for a sympathetic listener. II. Grammatical competence – (A “grammar problem” is defined as a misuse of a verb or a grammatical structure such as word order or subject/verb/adjective agreement.)
