Dear Headteacher,
Register now to take part in our Pageturners Children’s Book Festival for 2015, including
our World Book Day Quiz!
Discover is working in partnership with Kirklees Council and the University of Huddersfield
to bring you Pageturners – Children’s Reading Festival.
The Festival is a full week of author events in schools with a World Book Day Quiz and
culminating in a spectacular finale at the University of Huddersfield on Saturday 14 March.
The World Book Day Quiz 2015 will take place on Friday 13 March at 9.30am, finishing at
11.45am and will be held at the Central Library, Halifax. You will be able to gain access to
the venue from 9am.
Your Quiz team should be made up of 4 pupils from Years 5 or 6 (same or mixed year
groups). Local author Mark Wright will be our MC and guest author on the day, and there
will be books for sale and signing.
To book a Festival author for your school please submit a form for each author you would
like to book. Schools in a cluster may request a joint session – please give the name of the
school where the event is located. We will invoice the named school. Books will be on sale
and authors will be very happy to sign at all sessions.

To take part in these events please return your forms to us by Friday 6 February. Costs
and instructions for payments are included on the forms.
