Letters of Support Letters of support are mandatory in FWCP-Coastal. These letters should: 1. be signed, dated the same year as the funding application and be on letterhead if applicable; 2. demonstrate an understanding of the project; and 3. be included with the funding application by the deadline. Letters of support received after the deadline will not be accepted. Letters of support from the following will be considered in the review process: 1. The First Nation whose territory the project is located in. 2. The agency(ies) who have regulatory authority over the management of the target species (e.g. Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Canadian Wildlife Services, BC Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations, etc.). 3. A private, public or community organization that is independent of the proponent that may be directly affected. 1. Safety and Environmental Plans Applicants are to identify if the project work is on land owned, operated or controlled by BC Hydro. If so, safety plans will be required prior to project initiation. In addition, these projects may also require an Environmental Management Plan to be submitted to and approved by BC Hydro prior to project initiation.
