Training Officer and Assessor Courses are planned for June/July 2015. The Training Officer course will be held at SLSSA, on Saturday 18 July 2015. The Assessor course will be held at SLSSA, on Sunday 28 June and
Saturday 4 July.

*Candidates wishing to take part in the Assessor course must attend BOTH days of the course.
Numbers are strictly limited for these courses, so if you have any likely trainers/assessors in your club, please encourage them to enrol as soon as possible, because there is some pre-reading required for each course.
Prerequisites for the Training Officer course:
Candidates for this course must fulfil the following requirements:

Be a registered member of an SLSSA club


Be at least 16 years old
Hold the award for the discipline they wish to train. e.g. Bronze Medallion
Note: Training officers are only required to attend a DEL301A training course once.
Recognition of Prior Learning:
Individuals who have previous training experience, or hold their Training Officer Certificate but do not hold a formal training qualification are encouraged to apply for recognition of prior learning. Training officers wishing to be exempted from the course due to prior learning must apply to SLSSA; the RPL document is available on the website under the SLSSA web site then go to the Academy page then Members
Course/Resources.

Candidates for this course must fulfil the following requirements:


Be a registered member of an SLSSA club
Be at least 18 years of age on the date of final assessment

Hold the SLSA award that they wish to assess, but do not have to be proficient in that award unless proficiency is stipulated in the syllabus document for that particular award.

Have been a current training officer for at least one season
