The organizers/committee of the Avon Valley Adult Riding Club reserves the right to cancel, alter or combine any events they seem necessary on the day. Riders must wear a current approved safety helmet and riding boots at all times whilst mounted on their horse. The Avon Valley Adult Riders Club reserves the right to interpret all rules & make a decision where any dispute arises. No Judge to be approached by competitor or spectator without speaking to a committee member. Walk Trot rings are for green horses and riders or members not confident in cantering in a group. Enter Walk/ Trot or Walk Trot/ Canter, NOT BOTH! You May Not Switch Between Rings. THE PROGRAMME FOR BOTH RINGS IS THE SAME. All Gear must be safe and Serviceable. Plaiting is recommended. Club uniform to be worn. All Rubbish, manure and Hay is to be cleaned up prior to leaving the grounds. Entries will be closed 4th May 2015. Club Turn Out/Presentation Award – 8.45am SHARP the best presented club award will require a minimum of 2, maximum of 4 horses and riders from a club to present a uniform front with clean horses, gear and appearance. One team per club only, select your best 4. Novelties These novelties will be run all day so you may wish to compete in these when you have some spare time. Judging Our judges will be advised to judge the majority of the classes on the ring with the exception of a few classes requiring individual workouts. The judges’ decision is final. Conditions & Information WTC = Walk Trot and Canter WT = Walk Trot Club presentation to take place at 8.45am sharp before commencing the other classes and rings. Helpers Each club entered will be given helper Duties; it is up to your club to delegate the duty to individuals from the club. BARREL RACE WITH CUSHION W/T Rules Start barrel race with cushion in hand, drop cushion on first barrel and continue on to other barrels, head home. WTC Rules Start Barrel race with cushion in hand, drop cushion onto first barrel continue onto second barrel , pick cushion up and continue on to 3rd barrel to drop cushion and head home. Riders who are NOT direct members of EWA are able to compete at designated events run by Avon Valley ARC (Inc) as determined by the Committee, by becoming a Competition Member. Competition Members are not eligible for election to the Committee, do not have the right to nominate a person for election to the Committee and cannot vote at any meetings of the Club/Association. Protection is afforded to the member under the Club’s Public & Products Liability Insurance while participating at the designated event where they are liable for bodily injury or property damage to a third party. It does NOT provide Personal Accident Insurance cover. It is important to note that any liability claim for causing bodily injury or property damage to a third party whist attending a designated event results in a $2,500 excess. This excess is payable by the person held liable for the damage.
