Next we will be working more specifically on good throwing technique for our lower grades and on our basketball skills for upper school. Annual Scholastic Book Fair: Dear BDCS Families, It is November already, a month to give thanks around! I want to thank all the scholars and their supportive families in learning Mandarin! My scholars, which I am so proud of, just finished learning Greetings and Numbers. In November, they are going to learn a new Theme: Families. Meanwhile scholars will also experience the family culture difference between China and the US. Once again, thank you for your support and please provide your scholar with a Mandarin notebook to use. I will collect the notebooks from classroom teacher during Nov. 12th to Nov. 15th. Sincerely, Ms. Gao 85.lgao@nhaschools.com Just a reminder about the art schedule, 3rd through 6th grade will have art the second half of the year, starting in January. Artfully Yours, Ms. Burmeister Dear Families, Band is off to a great start! Middle school band is meeting twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please remember to have your instruments on those days. The only time electives would be cancelled is due to Assemblies, Testing, or No School. Fourth grade band started last week and is happening on Mondays or Tuesdays depending on instrument. If you have any questions or concern, please let me know. K-3 students have been working wonderfully on our Orff instruments (small xylophones). Everyone will soon be getting back into keyboard playing. Stay tuned for opportunities to hear them play!
