STUD REQUIREMENTS
The stud requires that all mares visiting stud have the following tests to protect other mares and the stallion. No mare will be allowed onto the stud without sight of these certificates.

Foxboro Stud Conditions
1. Stud Fee - The Stud Fee for Louraise Golden Miracle in 2016 is £400 for non-dilute mares and
£500 for dilute mares.
2. Deposit - The non-refundable Stud Fee Deposit (£100) must be paid in full with submission of the fully completed Nomination Form in order for it to be deemed valid, UNLESS using an Early Bird offer when the full Stud Fee must be paid.
3. Payment of Fees - Payment of the outstanding Stud Fee (£275 or £375 depending on mare) must be fully cleared before the mare is covered. The Stud will NOT cover the mare until this payment has fully cleared.
4. Cancellation Fee – 50% of the Stud Fee will be invoiced to the mare owner for any nomination not taken up, unless a veterinary certificate is produced stating a valid reason for the nominated mare not being inseminated during the breeding season.
5. NFFR Terms - If the Mare is scanned not in foal by the 1st October 2016, (must be certified in writing by a registered practicing veterinary surgeon) the nominated Mare is entitled to a Free
Return visit in the next breeding season. This does not entitle the Mare to free A.I. collections, livery or veterinary costs, only a free return to the Stallion in 2017. If the Stud Fee alters in price, the mare owner is neither eligible for any refund nor required to make any additional payment of the difference. Live Foal Guarantee: The Stud guarantees a live foal (48 hours after birth) or the mare is entitled to a free return to the stallion. A Veterinary Certificate must be supplied to show that the foal did not live to 48 hrs.
6. Livery Terms for Mares Visiting Stud - All mares visiting Stud must have been tested for CEM,
Strangles, EVA (within one month of arrival) and Certificates must accompany mare to Stud along with the mare’s Passport. Louraise Golden Miracle is tested CEM/CIA/EVA clear.
7. Mares must be covered for both Equine Influenza and Tetanus.

8. All mares must have hind shoes removed.
9. Mare owner must inform stud if the mare bites, kicks or has any other known temperament or handling issues.
10. All mares/foals will be wormed on arrival at the stud.
11. Every precaution will be taken against accident and disease but no liability can be accepted.
12. Louraise Golden Miracle does NOT run with his mares. All covering is done in-hand.
13. Vet/Farrier will be called to the mare as deemed necessary and fees billed to the mare owner.
Every effort will be made to contact the mare owner in the case of accident or illness, however, by signing this Nomination you authorise Foxboro Stud to act on their Vets advice including euthanasia on humane grounds.
14. Keep Charges –
Mare only grass livery ………. £40 per week
Mare & foal grass livery …….. £45 per week
15. Vet Stud Charges – Whist Vet Fees will be kept to a minimum, we will scan for pregnancy at around 14 days post covering and again at 28-32 days post cover to check for twinning and a heartbeat. If mares are removed from stud before these procedures are carried out, the owner
MUST ensure that they are carried out at home or the NFFR and Live Foal Guarantee will be invalidated. For more information please contact us. All vet bills will be invoiced direct to the mare’s owner.
All Vet Fees, Farrier Charges, Keep Fees and any other monies owing MUST be cleared before the mare is picked up from Stud. If a cheque is used please ensure that it is cleared and includes up until the day the mare departs Stud. Cash is accepted for outstanding monies on collection for which a Receipt will be given.
