(November 3, 2014) - Opening on December 12, 2014, King Pine Ski Area will once again offer great packages and programs for families to learn to ski. From Knee-hi’s to teenagers, King Pine offers something for everyone. With so many options for the family to learn how to ski, The Boston Parents Paper, a popular guide to parenting in New England, recognized King Pine Ski Area, of East Madison, NH, as a Top-5 provider of ski lessons. Families with children too young to ski can spend the day with our trained staff at Cub Club Daycare. The nursery offers fun, individualized care for infants and young children up to age 6. King Pine also offers Day Camp, ages 4 – 7 for all levels. Available on Saturdays, Sundays and Holiday periods, all day camp includes a morning and an afternoon lesson, plus lunch! The Knee-Hi Seasonal program for kids ages 4 -7, offers young skiers the chance to learn through educational, engaging games and on-snow activities and is also offered as a daily group lesson. Our groups average a student-instructor ratio of 4:1, and beginner Knee-Hi groups use an innovative team teaching method utilizing our state-of-the-art learning facility and gentle incremental terrain progression for quick and fun learning. Moving up in age and ability King Pine’s Team Ski (ages 6 – 12) or Team Ride (ages 8 – 12) is a season-long program with instruction in bump skiing, synchronized skiing, ski/snowboard games and running gates. Kids interested in taking their skills to the next level have Pre- Race seasonal program that has been designed as a weekend training program for skiers ages 6 – 7 interested in racing but looking for a transitional program before joining the King Pine Race Team. The King Pine Race Team, for skiers ages 8 – 15, is a weekend and holidays training program for skiers who are dedicated to improving their alpine skiing and racing skills.
