Embracing Our Mission campaign & projects:
As of August 31, 2014, our parishioners have contributed $416,643 towards our total parish
pledge of $1,341,848 for the Embracing Our Mission campaign. So far, the parish has received
$70,067 from the campaign. The parish campaign funds were committed to make
improvements to the Church and help with the building of our new Pre-K school building.
Since the campaign has begun, we have completed the building of our new Pre-K school
building. The capital campaign is committed to provide $70,000 towards that construction
project. We have paid $28,055 towards that commitment through the end of August.
As you are aware, the complete interior of the Church has been cleaned, repaired and painted.
The cost to complete the painting project was $53,847. The interior Church lighting was also
upgraded and modernized, the fire system heat monitors were replaced, and the sanctuary
light was cleaned and repaired. The cost for all of these items was $10,198.
For all this work, we have spent a total of $92,100. These projects have been completed due to
the continuing generosity of our parishioners to the Embracing Our Mission capital campaign.
We ask that you remain committed to your pledges to the campaign, and thank you very much
for the support already provided.
We thank Mr. Frank Harvey and the employees of F. M. Harvey Construction Company for
completing the Pre-K building on time, for their cooperation throughout the project, and their
donation of the building’s signage.
We thank the artisans of the Hayes Construction Company for the care of our Church during the
painting project, and Paul Valle of the P. D. Valle Electric Company for the improved lighting of
our Church interior.
The cooperation and dedication of all these people during an extremely busy summer at St.
Stephen’s will resonate into the future through our beautiful Church and new school building.
