KING STREET MEDICAL CENTRE Our Sixth Newsletter Welcome to King Street Medical Centre’s Newsletter. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR Flu Clinics Are now up and running. Some patients will have received a text message inviting them to attend one of the drop in flu clinic sessions. If you haven’t received a message and would like a flu vaccination, please speak to the receptionists. Clinics are available on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, Friday 11-12 No appointments necessary- just turn up! Survey We’re going to be running a survey in January. There’s no need to panic, it’s only two questions long! The survey links to the NHS ones sent directly to some patients houses. One of the questions will be ‘Would you recommend King Street Medical Centre to your family and friends?’ They won’t be contacted by us, it’s just to gauge whether we’re meeting your expectations and you think we’re good enough to be recommended. Please look out for the surveys in the reception area or you can contact us for a copy to be sent to you. Online Booking As you may now know we have launched an online booking service where you can book appointments with the doctor. You will be able to input why you want to see the doctor, for example I have a bad chesty cough or I need to discuss something with you. Any comments that have been put after your appointment will only be seen by the doctor you have booked with, and you can book up to a month in advance. You can only book appointments one at a time and for yourself, should you wish to book for your partner/spouse you would have to log into the site separately for them too. Online Prescription orders You can also request repeat prescriptions on line. At the moment it is repeats only, although if you have a request you can add comments on there too. If you normally order your prescriptions via the pharmacy then at the moment you will be unable to do this online as well.
